Meet the Chef

Since the restaurant’s inception in early 2009, Aunt Kate’s has been fortunate to enlist the services of Executive Chef Jake Hollender. Chef Hollender combines old Florida flavors with modern techniques that have contributed to multiple awards, including the Great Chowder Debate and The Taste of St. Augustine.

Before coming on board with Aunt Kate’s, Chef Hollender built a foundation of culinary arts from stints at South Beach Grill and Zhanras Tapa Restaurant, as well as an apprenticeship under Executive Chef Martyn Carre at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan.

With the continued support of the Usina Family, Chef Hollender has built a culinary team that delivers weekly specials that have all the locals talking.
